Taylor Reid

Triathlon Coach

Meet Taylor

Passionate about helping you achieve your goals.

Taylor Reid is a professional triathlete, three-time Ironman 70.3 champion, and Canadian U23 national champion based out of Ontario, Canada. He raced ITU for six years before transitioning to 70.3 racing in 2014.

With over 12 years of triathlon experience, Taylor started coaching to give back to the community and sport he loves so much.

Few people have had the opportunity to work with as many elite coaches in their career as Taylor has: top University coaches (2x Olympic runner and coach Paula Schnurr, as well as Olympic swim coach Andrew Cole), International Triathlon coach Paulo Sousa (USA), and Canadian national Olympic coaches Craig Taylor and Barrie Shepley.

Taylor has lived and trained all over North America and now has the years of experience of learning from other senior coaches as well as his own elite racing experience. As a past National Champion and many time podium winner, Taylor has the skills, knowledge and motivation to share his wisdom with others.

He understands what it takes to elevate a performance -- whether to record a new personal best, to compete at the national level, or to squeeze that last percent and take a professional win. He has now worked with many kinds of athletes: beginner athletes just learning the basics, to multiple Ironman and Ironman 70.3 finishers.

It is great to connect and work with like-minded people who are willing to push themselves to make themselves even better,” he says. “The first few times I coached was just to mentor a younger junior athlete and to do a few one-day camps to help share my skills with some age group athletes. I really enjoyed working with people who were so passionate about the sport and really wanted to improve. It made me want to work even harder to try and help them reach their goals.
